Project Manager
Project Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effective leadership in a matrix organization.
- Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
- Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
- Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on typical performance indicators goals for our clients
- Management of third-party projects including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers
- Accountable and Responsible for:
- Cost /Budgeting and Management
- Communication Management
- Change Management
- Schedule Management
- Construction Management Oversight
- Commissioning Management Oversight
- Risk Management
Qualification Required
- Bachelors of master’s degree in the field of Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance
- Proficient with Primavera P6
- Proficient in using Microsoft office suite.
- Ability to travel 25-30% of the time
Cost Control Engineer
The Cost Control engineer role will be client facing and involve working in proximity with the project manager to develop, forecast, update, and manage the overall project budget and expenditure.
- Development of Cash flows and providing the accounting department with necessary information for invoicing and accounting
- Administers budget variance tracking for the project
- Review invoices and accruals for each month
- Assist in preparing yearly and quarterly estimates
- Review new project budget and cost codes against estimates
- Manage the Project Status Report process for all projects within the regional office
- Review all monthly Project Status Reports with the Project Manager
- Analyze department team forecasts
- Review status of project Change Order
- Manage the Contract Modification process within Engineering team, review final entry prior to posting
- Review project Cashflow reports with each project team
- Assists with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information
Qualification Required
- Bachelors of master’s degree in the field of Engineering, Business or Finance
- Proficient with Primavera P6
- Proficient in using Microsoft office suite.
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time
Preferred Qualification
- Utility experience
- High level of proficiency in MS Excel
