Flood Study
RTR’s survey group has over 50 years of field and office experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines including: Environmental, Civil and Structural. We recently performed a flood study for a private home on three idyllic acres in North Wales, Pennsylvania. The site includes a dam built by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) during the depression and a bridge leading to the rear yard originally built in 1851.
Flood studies involve compiling flood elevation information about nearby watercourses from Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with data from on-site surveys of existing elevations to determine a dwellings susceptibility to flooding. Flood studies are just one of the many Survey services RTR provides as part of a full service survey department.
